Living Well Coach – Laura Harland

The Wellbeing Service is part of the GP practice teams in Eden and Keswick & Solway ICCs and working closely with the wider ICC team to:
• Support the “non-medical” and psychological needs of individuals with Long Term Health Conditions (LTCs), including Frailty, and associated psycho-social difficulties.
• engaging them to set personalised goals
• to look at promoting self-management
• to take a Social Prescribing approach to engaging patients with third sector organisations
• to help people feel more in control of their health, life and goals and activated. ***********************************************************************

Hi, my name is Laura and I am a Living Well Coach within the practice.

I grew up in Gloucestershire but moved to Cumbria in 1988. I have spent most of my career working in supportive, community-led roles within mental health and neurological rehabilitation.

As well as being a Living Well Coach, I am currently an Assistant Psychologist within the Physical Health Rehabilitation and Psychology Service.

My family and I enjoy fell walking and generally getting very muddy. Luckily, Cumbria is very good for both of those things! I also enjoy cooking and meeting new people. So if you see me around the practice, I’d be happy to have a chat and get to know more about the surrounding community.
