What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a commonly misunderstood topic and sometimes confused with Stage Hypnosis – whereby people seemingly lose control.
Stage Hypnosis, performed on perhaps Television or at a social event can be an excellent way of being entertained.
BUT it is very different to Clinical Hypnotherapy, which is the technique I use.
With Clinical Hypnotherapy : –
Patients are seen in private and during a totally confidential discussion you will be able to discuss your particular situation in as much detail as you feel comfortable with. We will take time to enable me to understand your concerns, there is no rush. The process of a hypnotherapy appointment is very pleasant and achievable by all who try. During a consultation you will be very comfortable and remain in control at all times. The sensation is quite similar to a “daydream” and is perfectly safe with no side effects. You will be taken through a very comfortable relaxing process and then will be asked to imagine stories and situations which are very pleasant and easy to do. Embedded within these stories are positive suggestions for change specifically targeted for your particular issue.
Hypnotherapy dates back many thousands of years and it’s widely known that the Romans and Greeks practised forms of hypnotherapy as they started to understand the clear links between health and mental wellbeing.
If you have considered Hypnotherapy before, or if this is the first time you have thought about it, why not call me to discuss how he can help you.
