Eden Carers
If you require local information about Carers and caring, Eden Carers is a local independent charitable organisation which exists to provide information, support and a point of reference for Carers of any age who live within the Eden District of Cumbria.
They offer:

- Time to talk – in confidence
- Information about what help is available
- Help for you to arrange the support that you need

Who are they and what do they do?
Eden Carers exists to provide information, support and a point of reference for Carers of any age who provide substantial and regular care on an unpaid basis.
This can be for a family member or friend who cannot manage at home without some help. We can support all Carers who live within the Eden District of Cumbria, (the towns of Penrith, Appleby, Kirkby Stephen, and all surrounding villages).
Life Matters
There are a number of services now operating across Eden and Carlisle to provide support for people who have or maybe at risk of mental ill-health. They can be accessed directly just by ringing them. They offer a wide range of opportunities and support to help people live well, improve mental health and maintain wellbeing.
Life Matters is an umbrella brand name for the Adult Mental Ill-Health Prevention project, funded by Cumbria County Council through NHS funding transferred to the local authority for expenditure on services which deliver a health gain, as a pilot to October 2013.
