Our History and Purpose:
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) was established in 2011. Its members are all volunteers and
patients at Court Thorn Surgery.
From the outset our purpose has been to:
1. Represent the “patient interest”, working alongside the practice and to
determine, how it is performing – what is working or is not working;
2. Communicate with the practice population and to feedback the information received into the
development and future planning of services by the practice;
3. Act as a partner with the practice at strategic and operational levels.
In addition we have subsequently become involved with three key activities:
